Jacqueline Fernandez delivers a lecture at the European Parliament

While actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been known for playing spunky characters onscreen, in real life she delivered a serious speech on housing and human development at the European Parliament. The 'Roy' actress had joined hands with the NGO, Habitat for Humanity and they together launched a relief campaign named 'Jacqueline Builds' aiming to help Chennai flood victims. According to a report on indianexpress.com, she herself went to Chennai to meet the victims and help them manually in building their houses and she has been associated with the NGO for over five years now.

She was invited to give a talk at the European Parliament on the successful endeavour of building homes for the victims. The European Parliament is the parliament of the European Union (EU). The event was attended by members of the parliament, high level policymakers, diplomats, civil society and journalists.
