Male Barali..begins

In the monsoon season director Vijayalakshmi Singh is saying 'Male Barali Manjoo Irali' (let there be rain and mist too) for her second directorial venture that went on the floors at Shuntikoppa in Kushalnagar on last Sunday. For the pleasant title the drizzle and mist surrounding the muhurut spot was befitting. This is the first Kannada film in the 75 years to go on the floor in Coorg district. Apparently this is the home town of producer Jai Jagdeesh.

Director Vijayalakshmi Singh while writing the script for this film had in her mind the screen stealer Parvathi Menon. When contacted to this role the talented actress accepted the film and also added her thoughts to it. Parvathi Menon has just finished 'Poo' Tamil film and she believes in one film at a time. A literature student intends to take up film studies in Toronto after completing master's degree. Every film of mine should touch the viewers and haunt them for a long time. Every character I do should linger in the mind for long time says Parvathi.

There are many driving forces besides the rain and mist that is available 80 percent on the screen says director Vijayalakshmi Singh. She had taken five months to elaborate her thought that came to her 18 years ago when she came with her husband Jai Jagdeesh to the beautiful locale of Coorg to spend happy time. Shooting in Coorg, Chickmagalur and Bangalore director Vijayalakshmi Singh assures a chill feel to the audience in the theatre. The earlier film of director Vijayalakshmi Singh 'E Bandhana' starring Dr.Vishnu, Jayaprada, Darshan, Jennifer, Thara, Ananthnag and others was well received by the audience.

'MBMI' that is all about love, friendship and faith is represented by Parvathi, Srinagar Kitty and Nag Kiran. Srinagar Kitty with score of offers in Kannada is playing the coffee planter son in MBMI. He is an introvert well educated aiming to achieve something big in life. His brother is Nagkiran an extrovert an equally opposite character to Srinagar Kitty. Jai Jagdeesh the famous actor of Kannada cinema and producer of 18 films is playing the rich coffee planter role.
