Tamil Nadu CM Kalaignar Karunanidhi will honour veterans like actor Manorama, writer Jayakanthan and Tamil scholar Silamboli Chellappan on behalf of Murasoli Trust.
The Murasoli Trust was formed by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. He is also the founder of 'Murasoli,' the DMK party organ.
The award, which will be given away to the much deserving veterans in their own chosen fields, carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs one lakh.
According to a press release, Kalaignar Karunanidhi will present the awards at a function which will be held on January 23.
