'Muni', a horror with political backdrop

Ramgopal Varma had brought out two horror films ' 'Raatri and Deyyam', another director P Vasu had brought out another such film 'Chandramukhi'.

The choreographer-turned-director Raghava Lawrence is also treading the same path. He is acting and directing a film in Tamil, 'Muni', which is being dubbed into Telugu and is slated for release on March 9.

Speaking on the occasion, Lawrence says, 'This is a horror film with political backdrop. I am inspired with the success of Chandramukhi and made this movie. The hero of the film is very timid and gets frightened even to venture out after 6 pm. An Atma enters into his body and changes his entire attitude. How it happened and what are the consequences is the subject. We made the film as a commercial entertainer with dances and fights. There is a very good response to the audio for which Ramani Bharadwaja gave tunes. Almost all the characters came out very well. We thought of making the film in 100 days but were able to complete in 85 days. I am sure that 'Muni' would earn me a very good name.'
