Salman Khan and box-office records go hand-in-hand, so much so that his upcoming film Sultan is setting records even before its release. With the film releasing on Wednesday, the advance booking at theaters began recently, and it received a phenomenal response within hours. For the first time ever, shows are going housefull for the first day after merely two hours of tickets becoming available. The film will witness as many as 14 shows in a single day at many multiplexes, with many night shows already being sold out. In fact, some multiplexes will only be screening Sultan, which is another record in these times.
It’s not only in the major cities where Sultan is getting such a mind-boggling response. At other mass-dominated centers like Rajasthan, the matinee and evening shows have already being sold out, with some distributors expecting a 100% occupancy record throughout the day – something unheard of in today’s day and age.
