Sathyaraj has warned against the possible 'dangers' of big budget films and urged the filmmakers to make their films within the limits of the market value of the stars.
The audio of 'Kangalum Kavipaduthey' was released yesterday (January 30) in Chennai. Isai Gnani Ilayaraja has done the music. Many celebrities including Rama Narayanan, Sathyaraj, Selvamani, and KRG graced the function.
The highlight of the function is Sathyaraj's open remark on the big budget films. He hailed director Chandramohan's efforts to make a film with small budget saying that, 'Tamil film world requires such directors, who can make small budget movies within a short span of time.'
He also requested the filmmakers to make films according to the market value of the heroes. If a hero has one crore market, the film should be made within 80 lakhs, he opined, adding that the likes of Chandramohan are capable of doing so. He also warned that big budget films would harm the industry.
Director Selvamani felt that the concessions given by the government are given to every film irrespective of the budget. According to him, there should be positive discrimination to encourage the small producers.
Earlier the three songs, which were screened in the function, carry the inimitable stamp of the maestro. The beautiful visuals show the talent of director Chandramohan.
'Kangalum Kavipaduthey' is expected to hit the halls by March.
