In a shocking incident a member of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in Ranga Reddy district in Telangana state was booked by police for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old kid who was an orphan.As per reports the 16-year-old boy was rescued and kept in a children's home in Saidabad Children's Home. He was supposed to be shifted to Kukatpally a few days ago.
The authorities of CWC handed over the responsibility to a person named Krishna.Instead of taking the boy to Kukatpally home Krishna took the boy to a private place and sexually assaulted him.
Police registeres case on Krishna after the boy raised an alarm. Police took him to custody and registered case under Prevention of Child from Sexual Offences Act. Child Welfare Committee (CWC) is meant to protect children's rights but the member of the board assaulting a kid turned as shocker
