It's a sad month so far for filmdom. The industry has lost some of its mighty contributors in the form of Sujatha, Raghuvaran, Shoban Babu, Prasanna Kumar and veteran actress S Muthulakshmi.
In less than a couple of weeks, dialogue writer and novelist Sujatha died. Actor Raghuvaran passed away followed by the sudden demise of yesteryear Tollywood 'super star' Shoban Babu.
Prasanna Kumar, who has penned the dialogues for several hundred films including comedy tracks for Vivek passed away. S Muthulakshmi, a yesteryear heroine, who acted in films like 'Panai Pidithaval Bhakyasali' and 'Marmayogi' passed away on Monday.
Says a prominent film distributor, 'March has been a dismal month so far. Several tall achievers in the South Indian film industry passed away. Also a host of films released this month failed to collect good revenue and the unexpected showers played spoilsport on theatre collections'.
