It would be destination Sivaji beginning 31 May. The much-awaited film which has created a lot of hype and expectations is releasing on 31 May with maximum number of prints. The movie has been the talk of the town what with the biggest marquee names in Kollywood (Rajini, Shankar, A R Rahman), and some of most talented technicians like cameraman K V Anand, editor Anthony, art director Thotta Tharani, writer Sujatha, choreographers Raju Sundaram, Lawrence and Brindha, and costume designer Manish Malhotra have figuring in it

The movie which is Rajinikanth's 168th movie is interestingly his 100th straight film in Tamil.

With AVM too pulling out all stops to make the movie fit the image of Rajini and the imagination of Shankar, the expectations are at an amazing high.
The movie is director Shankar's eighth film, his luck rests on eight. Rajinikanth favors nine and this is his ninth movie with AVM.

Rajinikanth, who looks refreshing, thanks to costumes designed by Manish Malhotra considers Thursdays to be an auspicious day. The movie releases on Thursday.

What more, acclaimed cinematographer K V Anand has used state-of-the-art technology to shoot the movie. He has used advanced Super - 35, 4k tech, to shoot the movie. This is the first-ever time such a technology being introduced in Tamil cinema.

Due mention should be made of art-director Thota Tharani. He has come up with grand sets and recreated foreign locales in Chennai for a song sequence.
Anthony, who has carved a niche with his slick editing, has reportedly come up with a stupendous work. Sujatha, who is known for crisp and meaningful dialogues and scintillating music by A R Rahman are sure to work in favor of the film.

With a team of talented choreographers in Prabhu Deva, Raju Sundaram, Larencce Ragavendra and Brinda coming together, no doubt the choreography in Sivaji would be hip-shaking and eye-catching. Veterans Vaali (Adhiradikaran) and Vairamuthu (Vaji Vaji) along with a young brigade comprising Na Muthukumar (Ballelaka), Pa Vijay (Style), have come up with catchy lyrics that is set to scintillating tunes by Rahman. The songs are already a craze among music-buffs and are repeatedly aired in several FM Radio Stations.

Rahman has composed the background score in Chennai, London and Cheq Republic. Designer Manish Malhotra, who has worked his magic on such Bollywood beauties like Karishma Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee and Kajol, was roped in to work his undoubted skill on Rajinikanth. His effort seems to have paid of. For, going by the stills released to the press, Rajini looks at his smartest best.

Shriya plays Rajini's heroine. On being part of a Rajinikanth film, Shriya says, 'It was project which had all the big names in Tamil film industry. When Shankar offered me the role, I immediately grabbed it with both hands since I am a great fan of Rajinikanth'.

Others in the cast include Vivek, Suman, Raghuvaran, Manivannan, and Vadivukarasi, Solomon Pappaiyah, Raja, Bose Venkat and others.
