Baahubali celebrates one year of its theatrical release

Baahubali! This magnum opus from director S.S.Rajamouli, made the audience awestruck with its grandeur and rich making. #1YearofIndianEpicBaahubali has been trending in the social networking sites as Baahubali celebrates its one year of release today.

Baahubali series is touted to be the most expensive film in India till date. The waterfall scenes in the film were shot at Athirappilly Falls in Kerala, huge sets for the Mahishmati kingdom were constructed at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad and the snow episodes in the film were shot in Bulgaria. Rajamouli's father and writer K. V. Vijayendra Prasad penned the story for Baahubali. The film had one year pre production work where in 15,000 story board sketches for the film were created which is highest for any Indian Film till date.

War scenes do come and go in films. But the climax war scene in this film is something that could be remembered forever. A new language, called Kiliki was created by Lyricist Madhan Karky for the Kalakeya tribe. Apart from this, Baahubali will remain as a pathbreaking film for all the actors. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati underwent special training sessions in the gym to look heavily built. Anushka and Tammannaah too had their own share of learning experiences.

More than 90 percent of the film had visually enhanced shots and according to the producer, more than 600 VFX artists worked for the film. The film boasted of 90% CGI work which accounts for 2500 VFX shots. For the first time in Indian Movies, Academy Color Encoding System workflows were implemented along with Infinitely Scalable Information Storage keeping in mind the mammoth scale of digitally enhanced shots in the film.

This Rajamouli directorial received many honorable awards and appreciations all over the world, and the film was also screened in many International film festivals.

With all these, the film has also managed to maintain the suspense for the question "Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?" Its been a year. Has anyone got the answer?
