He is now gearing up to direct his son Shanthanu for a movie, which would be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Meanwhile Bhagyaraj has been cast to play a prominent role in 'Ninaithale Inikkum', a movie starring Prithviraj, Sakthi and Priyamani.
The movie is a remake of the Malayalam hit 'Classmates' and Bhagyaraj dons the role of a professor. Shooting is on at Karaikudi and all scenes involving Bhagyaraj were shot in a college campus.
