Director Subramaniam Siva debuted with the Dhanush starrer blockbuster 'Thiruda Thirudi' and after that, he has directed a few more films including 'Seedan' which had Dhanush playing an extended cameo role. Now Siva has teamed up with Dhanush again after many years but this time as an actor.
Sources confirm that Siva is playing an important supporting role of a don in 'Vada Chennai' directed by Vetrimaran. This is the first part of the trilogy dealing with the underworld history of North Chennai.
Siva has been close associated with Vetrimaran for the past few years.
'Vada Chennai' stars Samuthirakani. Kishore, Daniel Balaji, Pawan and many others in supporting roles. Vijay Sethupathi has been roped for an extended cameo role while Amala Paul and Andrea will be playing the important female characters.
The shooting of the film has been progressing in Chennai for the past few months.
