Veteran actress B Saroja Devi, who had acted in over 250 films in various Indian languages, will be conferred with a honorary doctorate by Bangalore University.
A thrilled Saroja Devi, said, "films are not just a medium of entertainment, it helps us to win acclaims among the masses. I have acted with MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, N T Ramarao, Nageswara Rao and Rajkumar. The honorary doctorate is a recognition of my hard work in the industry."
Saroja Devi had won three National awards too. The actress says, "Every actress should strive for their best and do good roles to achieve success".
After Mannadhi Mannan opposite MGR, the actress had over 30 offers coming her way and she worked for over 20 hours in a day.
