Many movies are opting for a delayed release due to elections and the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both these aspects are playing as s spoilsport in the forecast of few movies in Kollywood. The month of March and April has turned as a fear factor for the filmmakers due these aspects.
One among the list is Silambarasan’s Vaanam. The shooting got wrapped up but the release date got postponed for a couple times now. But the latest scheduled date we hear might be April 29 or May 7. This has been confirmed by VTV Ganesh and distributors Cloud Nine Movies. Vaanam is the remake of the film Tollywood critically acclaimed film Vedam Which was written and directed by Krish.
Vaanam has an ensemble cast, including Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka, Sonia Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Saranya, Vega, Jasmine, Santhanam and others. STR plays a cable operator titled Cable Raja in the movie that has five stories meeting at one point.
Music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while cinematography and editing are done by Nirav Shah and Antony respectively.
Vaanam is going to be Simbu’s big summer release. If the film hits the bull’s eye than Silambarasan's box-office ratings will be high in Vaanam.
