Dhanush and Hansika Motwani starrer ‘Mapillai’ shooting was progressing in a small village near Tirunelveli. The shot of temple festival scene was being planned by the director Suraj and the whole unit of the film was present on the spot.
As per the shot required, six tractors had been used in a song sequence and one of them went out of control suddenly and four of the unit members were injured and they were admitted in near by hospital. The shoot has been temporarily cancelled which was to be finished by April 7.
On speaking about the situation happened, Hansika says “Dhanush and me were doing this song sequence when a tractor went berserk. It would have hit me but I was saved by Dhanush who pushed me away at the right time.”
