After a relatively dull 2005, the actor, who celebrated his birthday on Thursday, is optimistic that he would surge ahead with string of hits. Born on 1 June 1970, Madhavan was brought up in Jamshedpur. An electronics graduate from Shivaji University, Kolapur, he was selected by the Rotary International, to represent India as a Cultural Ambassador to Canada, when he was just 18!
'To concentrate on one film and give as realistic a performance as possible is my dream', says Madhavan, who is awaiting the release of his next Arya.
