Taking cue from senior actresses Meena, Kousalya, Bhanupriya and Meera Vasudevan, 'Autograph' fame Mallika too has ventured to act in a tele-serial titled Anjali, which would be aired on popular Television channel.
C J Baskar, who directed Radhika, Kousalya and Meera Vasudevan before, is bringing Mallika to the small screen. Mallika will play the title role in the serial Anjali, which would be telecast in the popular Television channel.
Quite like other mega-serials, it is a heroine-oriented subject. The shooting went underway in Pondicherry a week ago with Pondicherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy taking part.
When asked about her choice, she said,'A good storyline tempted me to accept the offer. More over I had great faith in C J Baskar's talents'.
Also in the cast includes veteran actress Seetha.
