Actor ' director Cheran's Mayakkannadi ran for over three hours.
The movie which opened in all the theatres from the Tamil New Year's day has won good reviews.
Cheran has now trimmed the movie by half-an hour. After requests from fans and theatre-owners, the decision to trim the film has been taken.
According to him, 'Mayakkannadi reflects the life of youngsters living in Chennai. It is a tale of their aspirations and dreams. I am confident that it would be lapped up by the youths'.
'We have shot the film for over a year and are totally convinced about the end product. No doubt the audience too would enjoy the film. Especially in rural areas, the response has been amazing', he adds.
