In less than 24 hours, Nadigar Sangam would go to polls to elect its new team of office-bearers. Hectic campaigning is on by those contesting the elections.
With Vijayakanth opting out of the polls, Sarath Kumar filed his nominations for the president of the sangam with the support of Vijayakanth himself. With no one contesting against him, Sarath Kumar has been elected unopposed as the president.
Meanwhile elections will be on 30 July at the Nadigar Sangam premises to elect the representatives for general secretary, treasurer and executive committee members.
The likes of Mansoor Ali Khan, Nallathambi and Radha Ravi in the fray.
On Thursday Vijayakanth in a press release had urged members to express their solidarity with Sarath Kumar.
On his part, Sarath Kumar assured that if his team gets elected, a shopping complex would be constructed besides continuing the measures initiated by Vijayakanth for the welfare of its members.
Much dirty linen is washed in public by the likes of Mansoor Ali Khan who has made several charges of irregularities against Radha Ravi.
