Actress Radhika Sarath Kumar on Monday lodged a complaint with the Chennai Commissioner of Police Nanchil Kumaran against Cine Technician Association by stating the members of the outfit had created ruckus during the filming of her serial 'Arasi'.
The members of the Cine Technician Association were demanding salary on par with the people at cinema industry. As the chief of the Tamil Small Screen Producers Association, Radhika had assured to look into their demand.
On Sunday, when the shooting for two serials - 'Arasi' and 'Lakshmi' were on in a private hospital at T Nagar, around 50 members of the Lightmen and Cine Technician Association entered the spot and attacked artistes and damaged costly shooting equipment. Over 20 of the artistes were hospitalised. The shooting was then cancelled owing to the fear of the artistes getting beaten up, Radhika said in the complaint with the police. Similarl protests were witnessed at the shooting of Simran Thirai, a tele-serial being produced by Pyramid Saimira.
