Noted actor and DMK Rajya Sabha MP Sarath Kumar has quit from DMK.
Rumors have been floating around in political circles for the past few days that Sarath Kumar would quit the party.
On Monday, the actor chose to quit from the primary membership of the party formally. In a letter to the DMK president M Karunanidhi, he said he was resigning as his work for the party went unrecognized. 'I am taking this decision with a heavy heart'.
Sarath Kumar resigned from primary membership of the DMK.
At the recently held Sarath Fans Association conference at Tirunelveli, his fans reportedly demanded more rights for the Nadar community. Meanwhile he convened a meeting of his fans to know about their sentiments last week.
