On receiving complaints from writers, Amudha Thamizhnadan and Arnika, claiming that ‘Endhiran’ has violated the copy rights. On this issue director Shankar received notices from CB CID police stating that he must appear before them and give an explanation on the allegation.
On his side Shankar says that the story has been taken from a book written by late writer Sujatha titled En Iniya Iyandhira and has made some changes to suit the movie. Besides all theses allegations the film has completed 50 days and still running successfully with packed houses.
