Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has granted one more concession for Tamil film industry. After announcing tax exemption for movies titled in Tamil, Karunanidhi on Sunday announced that the tax exemption would be extended to movies already released, bearing Tamil titles.
Several hundred producers would be benefited by the decision, said honchos of the Tamil Film Producers Council.
It may be recalled that Karunanidhi, for announcing various sops for Tamil film industry, was felicitated recently at a grand function in Chennai wherein the entire galaxy of Kollywood gathered under one roof.
