Kollywood was abuzz with rumours on Thursday, of a marriage between actor-director S J Suryah and actress Meera Jasmine.
A section of the media had carried reports that the two had reportedly fallen in love while shooting for Thirumagan, a movie directed by debutant Rathnakumar and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.
A few vernacular dailies had also reported that both Suryah and Meera Jasmine would get married this January.
However, Suryah was quick to dismiss the reports.
Shooting for Vyapari in Chennai, Suryah said, "We are co-stars and good friends. I wonder why such false news is being spread. I have great regard for Meera Jasmine, who has won the National award for her acting skills. There is no truth in reports that appeared in the media."
