Director Manikandan's second outing 'Kuttrame Thandanai' is being hailed as a rare gem like his debut film 'Kaaka Muttai', his third film 'Aandavan Kattalai' is ready to hit the screens this month.

After successfully retaining every detail about the film under wrap, the maverick young director has now revealed some interesting details about the contents of the film in a recent interview.

Manikandan has said that Vijay Sethupathi plays the lead role of a younger coming to Chennai from a village to go to a foreign country for job. The story will be about what this busy Metropolitan city does to him and what he learns from that.

As speculated earlier, the film also has the issuance of Passports as one of its core subjects it deals with.

Ritika Singh plays the role of a young journalist. The film will have good journalists and bad journalists. There is not particular actor who plays the villainr ole. The film's villain will be intangible.

The story of 'Aandavan Kattalai' has been penned by Arul Chezhiyan. K has rendered the musical score. The film consists of four songs.

The film has been shot predominantly in Chennai. A few scenes have been shot in Vellore.
