Yet another one on the hero list. Director Vishnuvardhan's younger brother Krishna becomes a hero in 'Alibaba', directed by Neelan K. Sekar, an assistant director of Vishnu.
Though Krishna has already acted in 'Anjali', 'Iruvar', and 'Terrorist', his development as a hero is unexpected. Actually, none close to him believed that he would get back to acting. He was studying MBA in USA. Krishna's family thought that he would get settled in the States, they actually wanted him to do so.
Krishna, however, had different plans and expressed his desire to act after he came back to Chennai, and his family did not discourage him. But Vishnu has a few words of wisdom for his brother: 'Think deeply before entering here. You should not entertain any other thoughts after coming here' and Krishna seems to have nodded agreement.
Neelan had a good story that impressed Krishna, and Krishna has opted to do a film with Neelan on his maiden venture as hero.
Neelan has rounded on Janani, a lass from Mumbai as Krishna's heroine. She impressed everyone by presenting a promo video featuring her. This has made the task of the director much easier. He did not have to take any test such as make-up test and video test. Janani's professionalism seems to have impressed everyone.
Janani says she would learn Tamil soon and try dubbing for her role. Wow!
