Kamal Haasan was the first choice of Shankar to play lead in 'Robo'. Even a screen test was conducted a decade ago for Kamal and Preity Zinta but the project never went on floors for undisclosed reasons.
Few months ago, There is buzz that Shankar approached Kamal Haasan to play villain in 'Robo 2.0'. Till date, Film Buffs brushed it aside as a silly rumor.
To everyone's shock, Kamal Haasan himself confirms Shankar offering him the role of antagonist in the sci-fi flick. He, however, turned down the film not because of the script, villain role or remuneration.
Kamal reveals he and Rajini had decided long back to work together only if one of them is the producer of the project. As LYCA is handling the production of 'Robo 2.0', Kamal decided not to be part of the project.
