Bobby Simhaa prefers story over directors

Actor Simhaa, who gives prime importance to the story of a film, says he doesn't mind working with any director - new or seasoned, as long as the story impresses him.

"If I really like the story of a film, I don't mind who directs it. I never choose a film because it is being directed by someone popular or a debutant. My preference always goes towards the story of a film," Simhaa said.

He has teamed up with director Karthik Subbaraj for the second time because nobody else offered him work.

After "Pizza", Simhaa worked with Karthik in yet-to-be-released "Jigarthanda".

"There has been talk that I'm only working with new filmmakers or the ones with whom I have done short films in the past. I have been struggling in the industry since 2005 and have been offered films only by these directors such as Karthik," he said.

"If other directors are willing to offer me work, why will I not work with them? I have known Karthik since the time I have been doing short films. So we always look forward to work with each other," he added.

Simhaa has so far worked mostly with first-time directors in films such as "Soodhu Kavvum" and "Kadhalil Sodhappuvathu Yeppadi".

He recently started shooting for Tamil film "Urumeen", in which he plays the lead role for the first time in his career.
