The regular shooting of actor Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, which is tentatively titled Kathilantodu, will start from later this month. The first schedule of the film will be shot near Kolkata where the makers have constructed a large prison set under the supervision of National award-winning art director Thota Tharani. The first shot of the film will be canned inside the prison set on which the makers are said to have spent a bomb. The first fifteen minutes of the film, which will be directed by V.V Vinayak, will unfold against the backdrop of prison.

The first scene of the film will be a prison break sequence in which Chiranjeevi will con the jail officials and escape. It will be a scene straight out of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi, on which this movie is based. Although the makers have clarified that the film won’t be a frame-to-frame remake, we’ve learnt from trusted sources that lot of mass-appealing scenes will be retained. Chiranjeevi, who is making a comeback with a full-length after eight years, will be seen playing dual roles.

Ram Charan is turning producer with this prestigious project, which will have music by Devi Sri Prasad. The makers are yet to rope in the leading lady and antagonist.
