Ramcharan would have been half relieved by now after reading ‘Dhruva’ reviews and strong word of mouth prevailing everywhere. However the film hasn’t opened to earth shattering revenues yesterday, which is the real matter of concern for Geetha Arts and buyers thereof in various regions. More than threat from opposition films, two big worries Charan has to beat are demonetization heat in domestic market and his poor credentials in Overseas.

Yes, Allu Aravind cleared off all opposition hurdles by shifting ‘S3’ to December 23rd leaving two weeks safe gap. So, the burden directly lies on Charan to look after the rest of two.

As far as demonetization is considered, ‘Dhruva’ suffered a bit on first day. Thanks to unique reviews, trade analysts have seen a sharp rise in collections from evening shows and major fulls are recorded for night shows. Saturday, Sunday and Monday being holidays, how far ‘Dhruva’ succeeds in pulling audience to theaters can be the test of nerves.

Unworried of his domestic following, Charan landed in United States to steer ‘Dhruva’ promotions from front. Despite his presence, the film raked weak numbers from premier shows. Obvious reason for this is his bad track record in US till date. The likes of ‘Rachcha, Naayak, Yevadu’ and ‘Bruce Lee’ weren’t the cup of tea for NRI Telugu audience. So, Charan’s presence in America has to break this sturdy shackle and attract crowds to cinema halls.
