Mallikharjuna Rao is no more

The popular and the loved comedian Mallikharjuna Rao took his last breath in the Apollo hospital this morning at 10.50 a.m. The actor was suffering from acute leukemia for the past few months and was admitted to the hospital a few days back.

The senior comedian has acted in 375 films and started his career in the film 'Ladies Tailor' directed by Vamsi. In this film he was noted in a character named Battala Satyam.

In many of the super hit films directed by EVV Satyanarayana, Mallikharjuna Rao enacted memorable roles.

He received the prestigious Nandi Award for the best character actor in the film 'Thammudu'.

The body of the ace comedian is being kept in the Movie Artists Association Hall for sometime before being taken to his home town for the last rites.
