Amidst tremendous pressure to deliver a blockbuster following the consecutive duds in the form of Bruce Lee and Govindudu Andarivadele, Ram Charan released Dhruva last Friday. The film gained decent reviews and good word of mouth from fans. But surprisingly, the positive buzz didn't help Dhruva much on the first day as the opening day collections were only a meager 10.57 crores from the two Telugu states and a partly $223K from the US premieres.Dhruva's worldwide pre-release business is estimated to be around 60 crores and the film has collected a share of nearly 31 crores in its opening weekend, including a gross of $957K from overseas. With another 30 crores to go, the next couple of days will be quite crucial to decide Dhruva's fate. While the film's collections are steady until Monday due to public holiday, the real test begins from tomorrow and fans and trade circles will be keenly watching the film's performance at the ticket counters amidst cash crunch, Cyclone Vardhah effect in Coastal Andhra and the snowy weather in the US.
