World famous action star Jackie Chan will be awarded with honorary Oscar. The announcement was made by The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences on Thursday.
Jackie Chan is not just actor but also director and producer of various hugely successful action flicks. Though born in Hong Kong, Jackie Chan got popular all over the world though his martial arts based action films. Chan has some highly successful films like Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon, Rumble in the Bronx, Police Story series in his
career. Many of Jackie Chan’s films were dubbed in Indian languages like Hindi, Telugu, among others making him famous even in India. Even now his movie Skiptrace is playing in Indian cinema halls.
Though Jackie Chan has created a new style in action films and brought a new angle to action films making, he has never won an Oscar till now. Now The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has rightly decided to honour Chan with Life time achievement Oscar Award.
