There is a lot of buzz going around about the upcoming movie of Mahesh Babu which is tentatively titled as Vasco da Gama. There were several reports about the lead actress in the movie and if the sources are to be believed, it would be Rakul Preet Singh instead of Parineeti Chopra as the female lead.
It was said that Rakul was the first choice for the earlier movie of Mahesh Babu, Brahmotsavam but the actress could not give a nod due to the problem with the dates. Now that she was approached by the makers, she does not want to miss this chance of working with Mahesh Babu.
Though it is said that Parineeti Chopra was considered for lead actress in the film and she did give a nod, the makers were not really happy about the remuneration she quoted. It is said that Parineeti has quoted 3.5 crore for the movie. The makers then started looking for other possible options and Rakul seemed an obvious choice.
The film’s first schedule will start by the end of the July. After starting the shooting in Hyderabad, the unit will be moving to Pune and Mumbai to shoot for some key portions of the film. Some of the songs from the movie will be shot abroad, say the sources.
The makers of the movie are planning to release it for summer next year.
