Director Surender Reddy is on cloud nine as his new film ‘Dhruva’ managed to rake the moolah at Box Office beating demonetization. Film is holding well in metros and A centres for its strong content and highly efficient technical handling. Generally, directors go apprehensive while dealing with remake subjects but Surender Reddy succeeded in breaking this fear factor because a section of critics appreciated ‘Dhruva’ as technically superior film than original ‘Thani Oruvan.’
More than anything else, Reddy is overwhelmed because he received the first appreciatory message from Chiranjeevi. ‘This is the best. You have a great future,’ these are the lines Mega Star messaged him. ‘What more can I ask for,’ Surender Reddy feels proud and humbled with the Mega gesture.
‘This movie is not a stereotypical pot boiler. Our audience evolved with time. They are demanding strong content based subjects with superior performances from artists. We modified the original script to suit our audience. This worked and contributed more to the success,’ Surender Reddy said.
