Despite four other movies hitting the marquee this season, Veeru Potla is damn sure about 'Eedu Gold Ehe' striking gold. In this exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz, the writer-director says that the film is far from run-of-the-mill.In a weekend full of releases, what is 'Eedu Gold Ehe' offering the audience? Is it a formula film or a fresh idea?Of late, the audience has become more entertainment-seeking. Facing worries of various kinds, they are coming to theatres to watch sheer entertainment. I don't find fault with them. My strength lies in dishing out entertainment. 'Eedu Gold Ehe' is not a routine story. It's a new story told in a new way. I am satisfied that I have made a refreshing film. I can't tell anything about the story line because whatever little revealed might turn out to be a spoiler. There are twists, thrill and excitement in the movie.How is the comedy different from what we get to see on a usual day?Although there is comedy frame after frame, there is no separate comedy track as such. All the comedy is situational and story-related. Even action scenes are part of the story. There are four songs in total. There are two songs in each of the halves. There are very good character artistes and comedians in Tollywood. The comedy by Bharath and Vennela Kishore is very hilarious. The film, in short, is a laughing feast.What is Sunil up to?This is an apt character for Sunil I have been friends with him for many years now. He is an 'Ajatha Shatruvu' who has no enemies. I wouldn't talk about Sunil's two shades in the movie because that would kill the thrill.Does the film have any inspiration?I can't say this or that one is the inspiration, specifically. There is no specific incident that has inspired me. I might have been inspired by a range of movies. But I can say with all confidence that this is my idea in toto.Films haven't been coming regularly from you. What is the reason?After 'Doosukeltha', I had planned a huge multi-starrer with Venkatesh and Ravi Teja. 14 Reels was to produce it. After the story was ready, the project got shelved due to some reasons. I later planned to pull off another project with another hero. Even that couldn't be brought into existence due to some factors. There won't be a gap of this kind any more.Did you feel bad that your plans were upset?I felt that everybody has their own calculations. Rather than feel sorry that they didn't give me an opportunity, I believe my time wasn't good. I came to the conclusion that, maybe, I didn't prepare a good script.Wasn't time good? Do you believe in fatalism? I believe in God. I don't think about astrology. I don't seek favours from God. I ask of him to give me the strength to face adversity. If our attempt is sincere and our determination strong, we can achieve what we have set out for. God will give us victory.What is your forthcoming project?I will talk about my next film after the release of 'EGE'. Me, Sunil, Anil Sunkara are going to do films and that's sure.
A Solid Hit for Manchu Boy after 3 Year

Vishnu's last hit 'Doosukeltha' released in the year 2013. Films like Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda, Rowdy, Anukshanam, Erra Bus and Dynamite have fared poorly at the Box Office. This Comedy Caper collected a Gross of Rs 24.1 crore and Share of Rs 12.25 crore in its full run. G Nageswar Reddy handled the remake subject so well and the target audience simply loved it. Manchu Vishnu's Risky Act stuns Trade Circles
Manchu Vishnu had delivered at least more than dozen flops already. Poor success rate hasn't deterred him from experimenting with scripts and risking too much with high cost of production. Vishnu decided to produce 'Kannappa' directed by Tanikella Bharani. The cost of movie based on Lord Shiva's devotee is three times more than the market of Manchu Hero. Still, The amazing script penned by Tanikella needs a mammoth budget to reach larger section of audience. All the hits of Vishnu are comedy capers, be it Dhee, Denikaina Ready and Doosukeltha. Are audience willing to encourage his new attempt? Will a devotional flick draw audience to theaters inspite of not having a star? Critics question, 'Why does Vishnu want to take so much risk at this point of his career? What is he trying to prove by doing so?'.
'Pandavulu ...' to release in Malayalam as 'Pandavapuram 2014 ...
Vishnu Manchu-starrer Telugu romantic-comedy "Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda", will be dubbed and released in Malayalam as "Pandavapuram 2014" across Kerala Feb 14. Manchu's recent Telugu releases "Denikaina Ready" and "Doosukeltha" were dubbed and released in Malayalam as "Endhinum Ready" and "Sakala Kala Vallavan", respectively. "The film, which releases Feb 14, will surely enthrall the Malayalam audience. It has action, comedy and intense drama brewed to perfection. The movie is also unique in many ways; it marks the return of my father Mohan Babu to the big screen again after a decade," Vishnu said in a statement. It was the first time the Manchu family members -- Vishnu, his father and brother Manoj -- featured in a film together. Directed by Srivas, the Telugu version of the film released Jan 31 and has managed to impress audiences with wholesome entertainment. The film also features Hansika Motwani, Varun Sandesh, Tanish, Raveena Tandon, and Pranitha Subhash in important roles.
Vishnu Manchu takes pride in voting
Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu, who cast his vote at the ongoing panchayat polls in Andhra Pradesh, says each election is important to him. "Every election day is important. If you choose to throw it away, don't complain down the road that you don't like the choice after poll results are declared," Vishnu said in a statement. He was one of the earliest members to cast vote Tuesday. Vishnu has adopted 10 villages to support them in whatever way possible. "He has adopted 10 villages near Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions, Tirupati, to provide the opportunity for the under-privileged community to access good education, good sanitation, clean water and access to primary health," he added. "The idea behind his adoption is to create holistic and sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by village folks, helping children and families become economically empowered," said Vishnu. Vishnu is currently busy shooting for two Telugu films - "Doosukeltha" and an untitled Telugu multi-starrer with brother and father.
