Manasu Maata Vinadhu Review

They say there are only six plot lines in the movie industry. But in Tollywood, it seems there is only one ----love and its attendant problems. Boy-meets-girl-love-at-first-sight-and-then-problems. It is not a cliche; it is the cliche of cliches.

And that is what Manasu Mata Vinadu is all about.

Venu (Navdeep), a collegian, falls in love with Anu (Ankitha). But it takes time lot of effort before he can get reciprocate that feeling. But before he can get her hand, there is a minor matter of dealing with the second hero Amit (Sandeep) Sai Krishna. The two heroes settle it out on a hockey game. True love and top hero triumph eventually.

If you see scope for any interesting drama or impressive action, then try and tell V N Aditya, the film's director. For, he has not come up with any in the over two-hour movie. The story just aimlessly plods with the lead actors going through the motions.

Among the cast, Ankitha has a small role ---much like her costumes. Navdeep looks young and peppy. But in histrionics department, he still has a long way to go. Sai Krishna has made a decent start.

The music of Kalyani Malik is good in parts. The camera work (Siva Kumar) is acceptably glossy.

But it is V N Aditya who is responsible for the film's abysmal performance. The story as well as the script is both mediocre.

Perverse as it may sound, the controversies surrounding the film before its release was much more interesting.
