Story
Naidu (Mohan Babu) is a tourist guide living in Bangkok with his three adopted sons (Manchu Manoj, Taneesh and Varun Sandesh). Raveena and Naidu are former lovers and the former also has two adopted sons (Vishnu) and (Vennela Kishore). Vijju falls in love with Honey (Hansika). Naidu and Raveena come across each other one day and finally decides to get married. Though initially their children opposes, they later agree after learning their parents sacrifices for them. Honey has a troublesome flashback and she gets into difficulties. How Naidu family helps her from hurdles forms the crux.
Performances
Mohan Babu entertains with his unique dialogue delivery and antics. He has danced as well in duets. Vishnu Manchu fits the bill and does his best. Manoj though tends to go overboard at times, he steals the show in comedy scenes and in the lady getup. Tanish has performed his role well while Varun Sandesh hasn’t had much role.
Hansika and Praneetha are glamorous and acted well. Raveena Tandon looks quite good and is impressive.
Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore are hilarious, MS Narayana is wasted, Mukesh Rishi, Telangana Sakunthala are brief while others are adequate.
Technical Analysis
Cinematography is neat and the entire film looked colorful. Musical scores are mediocre and so is the Bgm. Dialogues are entertaining, Editing is effective, Srivas direction is okay, screenplay is predictable and routine. Production values of 24 Frames Factory are rich.
Analysis
Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda is a safe script with right blend of commercial elements. The cast is an asset for the film and comedy works well especially in the second half. With high references to Golmaal 3, PPT doesn’t offer many bore moments but the treatment is routine like Srinu Vytla’s concept of confusion comedy. Screenplay is quite predictable. Manchu Manoj’s lady getup scenes post-interval will sure entertain masses but for family audiences they may not feel appealing. Brahmanandam entertains to the core. Rather than the screenplay, it is the actors who make the proceedings work with their histrionics. Abrupt and over the top climax spoils the feel of decent second half. All in all, Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda is a safe project in producer’s perspective and at the Box-Office, the film will work in B C centers.
