Ayalum Njanum Thammil talk about the deep relation between a junior doctor Ravi Tharakan (Prithviraj) and his senior Dr Samuel (Prathap Pothen). And it is the journey of Ravi Tharakan’s life, his ignorance, rise, fall and realization. And how his friendship and some incidents changes his life forms the thread of the movie.
Coming to the performance, Prithviraj possibly got a performance that even over shadow his superb performance in Indian Rupee, and he leads the whole movie with an unmatchable performance. He excels in all the possible faces in the life of Dr Ravi Tharakan. Be it his rise or fall he succeeded in bringing audience to feel the emotion of Dr Ravi Tharakan. We can see an all new actor in Prithviraj, who brims with confidence and stuns everyone with a career best performance.
And also Prathap Pothan, will not disppoint after his good work from 22FK. Here too he done a spectacular role as the senior doctor. Samvrutha Sunil was superb and her chemistry with Prithviraj looks great, though in a good but small role. Narain, Ramya Nambeesan, Rima Kallingal, Anil Murali too supported the lead in rather small roles. Need to give a special mention to Kalabhavan Mani, got some great scenes which will touch the audience heart. Salim Kumar did bring some lighter moments to the proceedings. Rest of the cast done their part pretty good.
Coming to the direction, Laljose successfully executed a rather serious plot with ease. And for Sanjay Bobby, this will be their most effective and spectacular script, which keep the audience glued to each characters till the end. However the first half does not have much in it.And a big hug to Jomon T John, with out his breath taking visuals this film cannot be termed as a perfect one. Each frame suited the emotions, colors, and the feel of the characters. And coming to the Music from veteran Ousappachan, did able to create a magical music which suits the entire mood of the film. Adding to that a perfect visuals from Jomon T John and some outstanding performances from the lead will make them more glittering. Pick of the lot is Azhalinte Azhangalil which suits the situation and the feel of the characters. The rest of the crew, including a good editing from Ranjan Abraham supported well.
