Rose Guitarinaal Review

Story:

A triangular love story the tale begins with Appu (Manu) who is deeply in love with his childhood friend Thara (athmeeya) but he never expresses his feelings. Thara is an aspiring air hostess and she is accompanied by Appu to her workplace almost everyday. At one point, Appu’s parents leave that town and he is left lonely. He decides to reveal his feelings to Thara but before that can happen she is proposed by Shyam (richard), the CEO of her company. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:

The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was disappointing. The dialogues were good at places. The script was just average and the screenplay was very poor. The background score was appealing and songs were just okay. Cinematography was the saving grace. Editing was bad during the second half. Costumes were trendy while the art department was colorful. Manu has come up with a good performance and he scores, Athmeeya looks strikingly pretty but she doesn’t have much to offer in terms of role, Richard looks handsome and he has strong potential. Rejith Menon was regular, Jagadish was neat. Others did their bit as required.

Conclusion:

It is always interesting to see triangular love stories onscreen but such films often require strong writing and tight screenplay. In this, the first half of the film looks a bit interesting with the characters and the plot. But the whole thing goes down during the second half. Technically, the film has been well made but the execution of the content and its narrative were the problems. At the box office, the film will fizzle out soon.
