Revenge and action stories never go out of fashion and Asadhyudu also belongs to this genre. Debutante Anil Krishna has successfully ventured into direction by making this entertaining film. He has churned out a good mass masala action flick packed with fun and adventure. The script is simple yet workable and he has kept everything under control. Kalyan Ram has given him able support by giving his best. Producer Vallurupalli Ramesh Babu also has given him everything that he needs to make this film a success.
Pardhu (Kalyan Ram) is an angry young student who finds hard to tolerate social inequities. He bumps into Prakash (Ravi Kale) and his brother Thambi who are criminals. Then Pardhu kills Thambi. So, Prakash is now all out to take revenge on the killer of his brother.
Meanwhile, Pardha falls in love with Diya, the daughter of societys big shot Raghunath (Charanraj). Raghunath agrees to give his daughters hands to Pardha after seeing his courage. But Pardha comes to know that he is trying it eliminate him. The rest of the film is on how Pardha do away with the evils in the society. It has a very sentimental climax that revolves around the revenge plot.
Kalyan Ram is the heart and soul of the film. He has proved once again that he is a performer. His dialogue delivery and histrionics have improved a lot. He is superb in the action sequences and he has lots of punch lines. Diya has nothing much to do in the film. Ravi kale and Charanraj are fine and Vinayagan has put smile on the face of the viewers.
Chakri has provided good music for the film with right dose of mass and melody numbers. The camera work is also good. The first half of the film is predictable but director Anil Krishna has cleverly pushed in elements of suspense to make it interesting for the viewers. He deserves a big round of applause for making this good entertainer.
