What a fine film for the present generation. The great degree of responsibility of youths and elders is explained in this colorfully made diligently handled film. The star cast is superb the music is above average the cinematography is pleasing, the locations are pleasant. What else you require for paisa vasool film.
Agreed that this is a remake of Tamil film 'Jodi' and tunes are also lifted for Kannada version. What is interesting is the theme of the film. Dhyaan and Sharmila have given a splendid performance. This is a family entertainer and a small trip for the beautiful London.
Studying in Lawrence College in London Vikram (Dhyaan) and Sajni (Sharmila) have love and hate relationship respectively. It is only after initial hiccups and Vikram saving the grace of Sajni in a college competition both fall in love with each other like in any other Indian cinema. At this stage the two show their sense of responsibility. They decide to convince the elders using their brain power. Both reach Mysore the home town of Vikram. Vikram gets the enormous help from his grand father (played by Shivaram). On the pretext of a relative daughter the grand old man of the house give shelter to Sajni by enacting a chest pain drama. This is because of Vikram's father (played by Avinash) is a strict sub registrar in the government department who is known for breaking the relationship who comes for register wedding to his office.
On the other hand Sajni's father (played by Ananthnag) is not liberal. He has given every possible comfort for his daughter and expects good behaviour from her.
Now Vikram has to prove that he is a good man in the office of Sajni's father and on the other hand Sajni has to prove in the house of Vikram that she is a good girl. Everything goes well and the lovers Vikram and Sajni feel that their goal is met but suddenly Sajni's father announces the wedding of his daughter to Kailash. This is startling news for Vikram and his family members. How this is set right? What emotional drama leads to what a situation is interesting part you have to watch on the screen.
Dhyaan and Sharmila make a good pair. Dhyaan plays as cool as cucumber at places and earns sympathy. Sharmila is charming with her height and body language. She has a pretty good future. Whether she is going to stay in Sandalwood or not is a big question. Ananthnag, Avinash and Shivaram roles are very well crafted. All the three are at ease.
A song on London city - lovely London€¦. and Ondu Sulladharu Helu€¦.., are good in melody. Chandramukhiye song is good in lyrics.
Rangaswamy heading the cinematography gives a pleasant trip to London. His indoor location shots are extremely good.
This is a film you have to watch with family members.
