Kshna Kshna Review
by MyMazaa.comTop ranking director of Kannada cinema Sunilkumar Desai has given a brilliant and long drawn out gripping film. This is the break Desai was looking for. He has already proved his mettle in this kind of films in Utkarsha, Nishkarsha, Marma etc. Here in this carefully crafted thriller Desai gives anxious moments and keeps the audience in the edge of their seats. You keep on changing your observations and finally you find the answer. The cinematography quality, technical details plus average music lift the film. The emergence of Dr.Vishnuvardhana in a style and effectively presented Aditya's role is an additional boon to the film. The suspense elements in this film are enough for two films.
For 'Nishkarsha' Kannada film director Sunilkumar Desai picked the inspiration from Bruce Willis 'Die Hard' English film and for this film 'Kshana Kshana' he has gone for Sidney Sheldon's 'Naked Truth' and made minor changes to it.
He is Mr Capable alias Samarth (Aditya). After finishing training in Switzerland and developing a rift with Rana on ideologies back in his home town as body guard to famous actress Maya (Kiran Rathod). He makes Maya and her secretary Phalguni (Prema) believe him immensely. But his calculations are different. He is on a mission to find the killers of his brother a psychiatrist. For the murder of Samarth's brother Maya is connected. So in order to find out the truth he is closely moving with her to get the clues. It is Samarth who is bringing lot of fear in the mind of Maya and unknowingly to her he chalks out a series of plan that says Maya has committed a mistake and she has to pay the penalty. But this double game of Samarth is observed by Ananth (Dilipraj) who is bundled out and kept in a far of place. Maya immensely liked by a top level don Kishore (Kishore) is kidnapped. Around this time arrive DCP Vishnu ( Dr.Vishnuvardhan) to unravel the murder mystery of psychiatrist in the hospital and check on the hideouts of Maya who is kidnapped by Kishore.
At this time the calculations change on the screen. The truth for Samarth is revealed from hospital sources. Almost the same time DCP Vishnu gets a major clue on the kidnap of Maya from Ananth. There is another tormentor added to this already existing chaos. That is Rana (Ashutosh Rana) hired by Sujo. Who is this Sujo? You must be wondering. For this all the characters assemble at one spot with the actual recorded version from a psychiatrist of Phalguni. This Phalguni is Sujo. She is aiming for the life of Kishore and Maya with whom she is pretending as secretary.
Mr Capable Aditya perfectly suits the role. This should have been his launch pad. His height, physique further adds to the film. He should continue to be Mr Capable in his forthcoming films. Dr.Vishnuvardhan's stylish arrival slowly melts down. That is because the three key persons around Samarth, Rana and Kishore are on a big shake compared to DCP Vishnu task. It is as usual for actress Prema. It is in fact her reserved approach that gives a strong belief that she is behind all the activities. That is of course true. But the purpose for her taking such a step is also convincing. Sridevika, Kiran Rathod, Kishore, Dilipraj are very apt for the film. Ashutosh Rana is not the right choice.
RP Patnayak has started copying the old Kannada tunes. An old tune from 'Kadu Kudhre' film he has lifted shamelessly. Cinematographer Prabhakar takes the major credit for showing every detail in the film without any flaws.
This is a film for all thrilling film lovers. Go watch it.
