Nooru Janmaku Review

Director of eminence Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar has compromised a lot it seems. This aspect strikes after watching the film ‘Nooru Janmaku’. Firstly the script is wafer thin, the protagonist deserved to be better, the music is poor in standards and showcasing Macau and Star Cruise looks like a tourism documentary of those two places. You have exotic locations Mr Nagathihalli but where is a proper story and convincing screenplay?

Marriage is for ‘Seven Janmas’ but ‘Preethi’ (love) for hundreds of life is what director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar has been able to stress in this film consuming more time telling nothing extraordinary. The crude joke on the recession (Bank Janardhan, Sharan and Santosh at a petty shot buying 100 grams of rice) Nagathihalli should have incorporated long ago.

Vinyas (Sharan) sent out from his office for extra brilliance evolves an office on his own with Hanumanthu (Sharan). He hires an architect Drushti (Aindrita Ray) who is equally brilliant in architectural designing. The Vinyas Consultancy prospers very well and by this time Vinyas develops love interest and not able to express it. Drushti understanding this development walks out after three years with fiancé Jeevan who is an orphan like Drushti. Upset mentally Vinyas loses his interest in job but after some point of time he understands that it is difficult to get Drushti and moves on with profession. Vinyas applies for Global Academy Architecture Award that is given in Star Cruise. To his surprise he finds Drushti with Jeevan in the competition. Vinyas wins 5 million dollars in the competition but he declines to take the huge money. The second winner Drushti is given this whopping money that solves the crisis faced by Jeevan. In sacrificing Santosh finds more satisfaction and comes back to his home town.

Santosh making debut as hero deserved to be better. This is not a film for him to tap his talent to the fullest. Aindrita Ray looks sweet and knows how to deliver acting from her expression and movement of eye balls. Sharan has nothing extraordinary. Adarsh Balakrishna as a beaten professional and lover boy of Aindrita Ray has nothing great to boast.

The retuning of the ‘America America’ Kannada film song Nooru Janmaku….title song scored by Mano Murthy is the best of all the songs. The recession song is of course spills out the truth. Santosh Rai Pathaje has made it look very comfortable for the eyes.
