Milk Vada, is a popular North Indian street food fare. Basically, dahi vadas are lentil (black gram/urad dal) based savory balls which are smothered with frothy fresh curds and sprinkled with spices like chilli pwd, cumin pwd, chaat masala or black salt and liberally doused with a tangy-sweet tamarind chutney.

Preparation Method

  1. 01 Wash and soak Urad Dal and Rice in Water for overnight.
  2. 02 Make paste of soaked contents in a blender, add Salt. Make it like a batter.
  3. 03 Meanwhile heat sufficient Oil in a pan and pour 1 tbsap of the batter in it.
  4. 04 Deep fry in Oil Till golden brown.
  5. 05 Remove the vada and squeeze out excess Oil.
  6. 06 BOil the Milk and add Cardamom Powder and Sugar to it.
  7. 07 Soak the vadas in Milk.
  8. 08 Milk Vada is ready to serve.
