Carrot Halwa or gajar ka gajerela is a sweet dessert pudding associated mainly with the state of Punjab in India & Pakistan. It is made by placing grated carrot in a jar containing a specific amount of water, milk and sugar and then cooked, stirring regularly.
It is often served with a garnish of almonds and pistachios The nuts and other items used are first sautéed in ghee, a South Asian clarified butter.

Preparation Method
- 01 Sauté the Carrot in Ghee.
- 02 Add Milk and cook the Carrot nice and soft.
- 03 Add Sugar; allow to simmer for a while Till the
- 04 Sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens.
- 05 Add Cardamom Powder.
- 06 Garnish with flaked Cashew Nut nuts.
