These cookies are delicate when made with a press, or hardy when dropped by spoonfuls. I fill centers of press cookies with preserves or a chocolate chip for added variety.

Preparation Method

  1. 01 In a mixer, Cream together Butter/Margarine and Cream Cheese.
  2. 02 Add Sugar and beat
  3. 03 unTil light and fluffy. Beat in one Egg and Vanilla.
  4. 04 Add Salt and Baking Powder and
  5. 05 all all purpose flour. Mix unTil smooth.
  6. 06 Chill dough in refrigerator overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  7. 07 Using a cookie
  8. 08 press or cookie gun, form cookies on greased cookie sheet.
  9. 09 For holidays, sprinkle
  10. 10 colored Sugar over the top of cookies before baking.
  11. 11 Bake 12-15 minutes unTil slightly
  12. 12 brown.
